Our biggest and best Indoor Rowing Challenge event is back! Sit down and enjoy the ultimate indoor rowing event. You'll only get wet from the sweat down your back as you and your team of 8 race relay style for 72km, the length of the tidal River Thames.
The event will be taking place at two different venues on two different dates
Leeds: The John Charles Centre for Sport Tennis centre, 23rd February 2024.
London: The Copper Box Arena, on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, 1st March 2024
The event takes part at the same time and venue as one of the largest indoor rowing events on the planet – LYR’s very own National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships (NJIRC). NJIRC is the most inclusive rowing events in the world and celebrates the work done by LYR, the charity behind Race The Thames. Your fundraising will support LYR's work to use rowing to help young peopel across the country get active, boost their wellbeing and build key life skills. Rowing matters!
You'll be joined by young people from all backgrounds also discovering the joy and challenge of indoor rowing racing. With live results relayed on big screens and linking up competitors to race live, the event comes to life with hundreds of racers all pitting themselves to reach their best.
