My Story

We are 4 mixed crews of parents of students at Mossbourne Community Academy and Mossbourne Victoria Park Academy who are gamely taking on the challenge of rowing up the Thames from East London to West London in order to raise money for London Youth Rowing (LYR).

We've seen firsthand the incredible benefits the LYR programme has provided our children; from developing their confidence and social skills to improving their fitness and even allowing them to compete in rowing competitions. We want to support LYR in their efforts to bring these opportunities to schoolchildren from diverse backgrounds throughout Hackney and beyond.

The four Mossbourne Parents crews are:

Finishing Str8: Yao Wu, Nesha Martinova, Katherine Mckone, Anna Schabel, Jochen Driessle, Moyra McAllister, Frauke Westgate and Jean-Paul Van Cauwelaert

Hackney Blisters: Victoria Munns, David Munns, Anna Meikle, Nick Meikle, Jonathan Stebbins, Gavin Clarke, Cordula Weisser-Borel and Philip Borel

3 - It's the magic number: Troy Utz, Shahed Saleem, Shahedah Vawda, Polly Jenneret, Giulianna Macintosh, Stephen Macintosh, Ian Thomson and Gabriel Prokofiev
